Lainie
 | Lainie is a Brooklyn based experiential artist hailing from southwest Florida. Visceral P.L.A.Y. is the synthesis of her life and art focusing on the phenomenology of hedonism and the self, as well as instigating situations where Visceral Pleasure Loves Accommodating You. Within this critical practice she uses her body as an instrument for anthropological field research by continually reinventing herself through the use of several ?identity-players?: including the infamous Fashion Maven, Elaine Van Hoorn and the pop Hollywood Starlet, Diamond Lil. After receiving her professional Bachelors degree in Architecture from Cornell University in 2001, Lainie has been exhibited internationally in New York, Berlin, and Detroit. In addition, her identity players have offered her a fascinating insiders view where she has operated her own Dungeon, penned a memoir, styled celebrities, been photographed world wide, produced international fashion shows, performed for live audiences, and even been the star of a biographical documentary. |
