	When we were young and first married (I was a virgin at 21, she'd had at least one partner at 20), we'd put a towel down, she'd lay on her stomach, and I'd massage her clitoris with my erection until we both had reached orgasm, but there would be no vaginal penetration - we hadn't explored anal sex, yet. After a few years of marriage, we naturally became more comfortable with each other, and like the panel discussed, she now understood that I just wanted her, unconditionally. From that, we learned that there was some therapeutic value for her, and that with the hormone imbalance, it was a very different kind of sex - namely raw and uniquely intense. We've been married 28 years now and the early stages of menopause have begun. Over the years we've really explored a variety of sexual variations and I don't think we'll miss "period sex." It truly is a personal preference and over the years we've had friends that were okay with it, others not so much, and some that it just depended on who they were with.
