comment number 1 Does anyone agree -- one night stands are best if you can basically "use" your partner for sex?  If I like him, then I can't help but feel emotional! Comment by: ladybug

comment number 6 She, you are absolutely correct!  STDs are scary and you are being very smart by questioning the wisdom of participating in casual sex due to the risk. Casual sex, actually all sex with untested partners, poses the risk of becoming affected with STDs.  Luckily, sex (vaginal, oral and anal) with condoms and dental dams decreases the chance of becoming affected to almost 98 - 99%.  However, these barriers need to be used from the VERY BEGINNING of sexual contact through the end -- not just during penetration.  However, there are no STDs that are transmitted through saliva so kissing is okay -- granted the kissing is contained to areas that don't emit semen and/or discharge of any sort.  We should talk about it more, and we don't want to give the impression that protection isn't important.  That said, every sexual topic has many sides to it, but hopefully we'll  be able to explore all of them!
